Story of MiCR Presented at the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation’s 39th Annual Conference

BMC2’s Mary Casey, MPH; MVC’s Mike Thompson, PhD; and HBOM’s Larrea Young, Mdes presented “Leveraging the Collaborative Quality Improvement Model for Coalition Building, Benchmarking, and Intervention Support in Michigan” during the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation 39th Annual Conference in Anaheim, CA on September 25th from 2:45 – 5 pm.

The talk included how the Michigan Cardiac Rehab Network (MiCR) was formed and its efforts to improve cardiac rehabilitation (CR) utilization through data benchmarking, collaborative learning, and development of best practices. It featured how MiCR and its partners utilize the expertise of providers, patients, and strategic advisors to develop highly adaptable, evidence-based interventions and MiCR’s continued commitment to stakeholder engagement for continuous quality improvement in CR utilization. The presentation ended with a brief lesson on how to create materials using human-centered design.
