Vascular surgeons are still needed to participate in a qualitative research study that aims to investigate both patient barriers and surgeon-perceived barriers to follow-up care after endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR).
Annual follow-up care with CT scanning or ultrasound can help detect early problems that could lead to life-threatening complications, including aortic rupture.
Insight from this study could help inform and strengthen our current consortium-wide EVAR quality improvement effort with its corresponding Vascular Surgery Performance Goal – Documentation of EVAR imaging performed on the 1-year follow-up form.
Study Aims:
- To explore patient, physician, and APP experiences with post-EVAR surveillance
- To identify barriers and facilitators to successful follow-up
- To develop recommendations for improving surveillance and patient care
Interview Details:
A one-time interview (your choice of telephone, Zoom, or Teams), which will be recorded, anonymized, and transcribed for analysis. These interviews have typically lasted between 30 minutes and 1 hour.
Fill out this Qualtrics form to express interest in participating in this study by Dr. Jonathan Cunha with Drs. Nick Osborne and Mary Byrnes.
Our sincere thanks to the vascular surgeons, advanced practice providers, and patients who have already participated by giving interviews. Your perspectives are a valuable tool in developing ways to increase quality of care and patient outcomes after EVAR.
