
The BMC2 VS Coordinator Webinar was held on March 19, 2025.
Dr. Paul Bove, Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital, presented on the evolution of carotid artery diagnosis methods, emphasizing the importance of standardizing treatment thresholds and using multiple criteria to determine stenosis degree. Rebecca Fleckenstein, Quality Lead for BMC2 VS, presented a case review of PSV and EDV values to enter into the VS database. The review included poll questions and uploading requirements for the BMC2 VS 2025 Peer Review.

The BMC2 VS Physician and 2026 P4P Goal Webinar was held on June 12, 2025
Participants supported the following 2026 P4P and 2027 VBR Measures:
2026 Pay for Performance (P4P) Goals:
- Keep, and increase the target to ≥85% for the Documentation of EVAR imaging on the 1-year follow-up form
- Continue with the Duplex ultrasound performed prior to asymptomatic carotid endarterectomy ≥90%
- Keep, and increase the target to ≥90% for Vein mapping performed prior to Elective Lower Extremity Open bypass
- Keep, and increase the target to ≥65% for Smokers received smoking cessation treatment prior to discharge.
- Continue with the Attest to reports being distributed and reviewed at your site per the Participation Agreement 100%
2027 Value Based Reimbursement (VBR) Goals
- Keep, and increase the target to ≥85% for the Documentation of EVAR imaging on the 1-year follow-up form

John Cunha, MD, MS, presented “Patient and Provider Perceived Barriers to Long-term EVAR Surveillance: A Qualitative Study.” Slides may be available in the future pending publication.
