Last fall, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan charged BMC2 with creating Health Equity Dashboards for each of our registries. Advisory Council members gave input on ways BMC2 can impact health care equity that are measurable at the individual level, proximate to health care outcomes, and actionable. Participants also shared ideas about which measures might be useful for looking at differences in race and/or Area Deprivation Index.
The VS Dashboard – created by BMC2 Statistician Lead, Dr. Jeremy Albright – allows the ability to view your site’s data against the data of the collaborative and choose measures including:
- Vascular Surgery 30-day all cause readmission
- Readmission reasons for elective procedures
- Carotid Composite 30-day Mortality/MI/TIA-Stroke
- Elective Open AAA Major Morbidities
- Elective EVAR Major Morbidities
- New Opioid Prescriptions <= 4 Pills
- EVAR 1-year Surveillance Imaging Performed
- Smoking Cessation Rates
- Smoking Cessation Trends

The BMC2 PCI Dashboard was previously released in early 2024, after pilot testing and refinement by the Advisory Council. It is now available for consortium use. Learn more about the PCI Dashboard on our blog.
